The interaction lets the audience experience the technical innovations of Nissan’s Qashqai 360.<br />

While marketers are interested in implementing multi-screen strategies, they are concerned about the technical complexity involved in connecting with users who jump from one screen to another. Nissan overcame this challenge and launched a digital campaign unprecedented in Spain using MediaMind technology and connecting with its audience by simulating the experience of driving the new Qashqai 360.</p>
<p>Nissan wanted to take another step forward in its constant search for creative innovation and user impact, through an interactive spot that connected mobile and PC screens to demonstrate the technical innovations of the Qashqai 360.</p>
<p>The campaign launched by OMD is the result of the long-term relationship between the creative teams of MediaMind and Plan Comunicación, who were tasked with turning a smartphone into a remote control that demonstrates to the user how easy it is to park the new Nissan Qashqai 360. The spot transmits an experience that is sophisticated yet simple, at the same time as giving the feeling of being behind the wheel of this new model of Nissan.</p>
<p>“Via a game in a push-down banner that synchronises with a mobile, users can enjoy a realistic experience of parking a Nissan Qashqai in extreme conditions, activating the camera, moving the steering wheel and using the four cameras. <p>BEIJING (Reuters) &#8211; Nissan Motor and Dongfeng Motor Group Co will spin off the heavy truck segment of their China venture to Dongfeng&#8217;s state parent, paving the way for local production of Renault and Infiniti cars as well as a possible new Dongfeng-Volvo truck tie-up, Chinese media reported on Monday.	</p>
<p>Nissan&#8217;s passenger car business in the venture will remain intact, as will its light commercial truck production with Shanghai-listed Dongfeng Automobile Co, sina.com said citing unspecified sources.<br />

Talk of a Dongfeng heavy truck venture with Volvo has been swirling around for years despite both sides having yet to provide any updates on the issue.	</p>
<p>The tie-up with Volvo is intended to shore up Dongfeng&#8217;s heavy truck business as the unit within the venture with Nissan has been making Dongfeng-branded heavy trucks only, the report said.	</p>
<p>To get the consent of Nissan, Dongfeng would in turn back producing Nissan&#8217;s premier brand Infiniti as well as Renault cars in its venture with the Japanese automaker.	</p>
<p>Dongfeng&#8217;s spokesman could not be reached for comment. A Nissan representative said the firm had no information on the deal.	</p>
<p>Local production, which can guarantee steady supply and cut costs, has been seen as essential for foreign automakers to expand their footprint in the world&#8217;s biggest auto market. 	</p>
<p>BMW, Volkswagen&#8217;s Audi and Daimler AG&#8217;s Mercedes-Benz, which now dominate China&#8217;s luxury car segment, started making cars in China years ago.	</p>
<p>Renault SA, part of the Nissan-Renault alliance, is one of the few foreign automakers that has been exporting cars to China, to a lackluster response so far.  	</p>
<p>Under the Dongfeng-Nissan deal Dongfeng Motor Corp will take over the venture&#8217;s heavy truck unit effective July 1, the report said. 	</p>
<p>However it did not give a timetable for any Dongfeng-Volvo truck partnership or local production of Infiniti and Renault cars.	</p>
<p>Volvo pulled out of an alliance with China National Heavy-Duty Truck Corp years ago due to sluggish sales.  	</p>

<p>In what the magazine bills as the world&#8217;s biggest drag race, the competitors featured a combined 82 cylinders and nearly 5,000 horsepower – wrapped in $1.5 million of beautifully sculpted aluminum, fiberglass and carbon fiber skins. And the revised 2012 Nissan GT-R, now featuring 530 horsepower and 448 lb-ft of torque, beat them all.</p>

<p>Contenders were selected by the editors of <em>Motor Trend</em> as part of their &#8220;Best Driver&#8217;s Car&#8221; (BDC) competition – and one of the biggest, most expensive single stories the magazine has ever executed. The supercars were considered among the best sports cars in the world. Unless all-new or significantly revised, previous entrants were not allowed to participate. Vehicles were run at factory recommended settings, with standard or factory optional equipment. The drag race portion was filmed on a closed course at El Toro Marine Corps Air Station in El Toro, California.</p>

Pat Quinn and representatives from the City of Chicago to announce the Illinois rollout of the all-electric Nissan LEAF for this fall. Nissan has accelerated the launch of Nissan LEAF in Illinois in response to strong consumer demand and supported by plans that include an extensive electric car charging network in Chicago and surrounding suburbs in the coming year.</p>

<p>&#8220;Governor Quinn, Mayor Emmanuel and other visionary Chicago-area leaders have paved the way for mass market adoption of electric cars in their community,&#8221; said Scott Becker, senior vice president, Administration and Finance, Nissan Americas. &#8220;Chicagoland consumers want a transportation solution that uses no gas and produces no emissions, and the introduction of the Nissan LEAF to Illinois makes that a reality.&#8221;<br />

In February, Gov. Quinn announced an investment of $1 million in capital funding to install state-of-the-art charging infrastructure for electric cars throughout the Chicagoland area, matching an additional $1 million in Clean Cities Grant funding secured by the City of Chicago. In total, the project will result in a network of 280 electric vehicle charging stations. Illinois also offers up to $4,000 in rebates after the purchase of electric and alternative technology vehicles – in addition to the $7,500 federal tax credit – making Nissan LEAF even more affordable to Illinois residents.</p>
<p>&#8220;Illinois is laying the groundwork for electric vehicles, and our efforts are paying off,&#8221; Gov. Quinn said. &#8220;By investing in electric vehicle technology, both the State of Illinois and Nissan are making transportation in our state more efficient, sustainable and affordable.&#8221;</p>
<p>&#8220;Nissan&#8217;s entry into the Chicago market is exactly what the city had in mind when we developed our EV infrastructure plan,&#8221; said Karen Weigert, Chicago&#8217;s Chief Sustainability Officer. &#8220;With the 40 Level 2 charging stations to date already installed, Chicago is well on its way to having the most robust EV infrastructure in the nation.&#8221;</p>
<p>The City of Chicago working with 350Green helped spearhead an aggressive EV infrastructure plan that called for 73 DC quick-charging stations and 207 Level 2 stations to be installed at public parking garages, grocery stores, tollway oases, etc. by the end of 2011. Thus far, 40 stations have been installed and, when complete, the system will provide the Chicagoland area with the most extensive infrastructure for electric vehicles in the U.S.</p>

<p>The Nissan LEAF is the first and only 100-percent electric, zero-emission vehicle available to the mass market. Since its launch in December 2010, Nissan has delivered more than 5,000 Nissan LEAF electric vehicles in the United States. The Nissan LEAF currently is available in Arizona, California, Hawaii, Tennessee, Texas, Oregon and Washington, with Illinois and other additional markets launching later this year. <p>The Nissan 370Z Coupe can be equipped with a selection of NISMO parts which have been carefully developed to offer the same durability, quality, fit and finish to comply with Nissan&#8217;s quality standards. The parts can be ordered and professionally fitted by Nissan dealers.</p>
<p>The selection of NISMO body parts not only make the 370Z Coupe look more aggressive, they have also been wind tunnel tested to improve aerodynamic flow over the car&#8217;s body and increase down force to enhance handling at high speed.</p>
<p>The complete NISMO &#8216;Aero kit&#8217; for the 370Z Coupe includes a front chin spoiler, side sill protector, rear deck lid spoiler and rear bumper under protector.</p>
<p>Even sportier handling can assured by ordering the NISMO &#8216;S-tune&#8217; sports suspension system which includes a specially developed spring and shock absorber package and new front and rear anti-roll bars. When fitted, the NISMO &#8216;S-tune&#8217; kit reduces the overall height of the 370Z Coupe by 10mm with dynamic improvements, resulting in a more neutral and balanced handling vehicle.</p>
<p>For a sportier exhaust note, increased horsepower and a great look, the NISMO sports tuned exhaust system features larger diameter exhaust pipes for higher exhaust gas flow while still complying with international standards on noise levels.</p>
<p>Finally, the full NISMO look can be completed with special forged aluminium alloy 5 spoke 19-inch &#8216;Rays&#8217; brand wheels which by being significantly lighter than the standard wheel offer improved braking response due to their reduced mass.</p>

<p>Nissan Motor Co., Ltd. announced today that 30 Nissan D22 4&#215;4 pick-up trucks arrived in Haiti and were received by the United Nations&#8217; World Food Programme. The trucks will be put to work immediately to deliver food, supplies and aid in the massive ongoing efforts to help rebuild lives in a nation ravaged by a devastating earthquake on Jan. 12, 2010.</p>
<p>The donation of trucks, in response to a request from former U.S. President Bill Clinton, founder of the William J. Clinton Foundation and currently UN Special Envoy for Haiti, is an expansion of relief efforts in Haiti  sponsored by Nissan Motor Co., Ltd. and its global community of employees.</p>
<p>With the donation of the pick-up trucks, Nissan Motor Co., Ltd. and its employees worldwide have contributed cash and products valued at nearly $750,000 to relief efforts in Haiti.</p>
<p>Immediately after the earthquake in January, Nissan employees took action to help – first with a donation of more than $100,000 cash, corporate matches for gifts from employees, and a commitment to partner with Habitat for Humanity International to construct new homes. In response to the request for trucks, Nissan&#8217;s Corporate Social Responsibility team worked with the U.N. to identify a partner relief organization and found a match in the World Food Programme, which took delivery of the trucks today in Port-au-Prince.</p>
