In less than three years, USAA’s unique online car-buying service has saved America’s military men and women and their families nearly $130 million in total savings on more than 77,000 cars and trucks, providing an average savings of $5,300* off the manufacturer’s suggested retail price (MSRP). USAA is now opening its virtual doors to prospective members to show them how much they could save on auto purchases by joining USAA.

Each month more than 170,000 members use the auto-buying site at https://www.usaa.com/carbuying to build a vehicle, find an authorized dealer in their area, lock in a guaranteed price, and secure insurance and financing needs. USAA customers who purchase through the service get a guaranteed, no-haggle price through one of more than 2,000 USAA Certified Dealers.

USAA offers its car-buying service through Zag, a leading provider of online car buying programs for some of the nation’s foremost brands. Previously, only established USAA members could access the group’s car-buying site and lock in the guaranteed price on a vehicle of their choice. Now, as part of USAA’s recent eligibility expansion to include all veterans of the U.S. Armed Forces who served honorably, the company is allowing prospective members to test drive the service.
